Hoverdale's P600 is a high hardness steel. It is a fully quenched and mildly tempered steel, with a Brinell hardness of 520-560. This provides excellent wear resistance and sliding abrasion.
P600 will not present any installation problems. It can be cut with oxy-acetylene and had good weldability- no special techniques are required to obtain ductile welds. P600 cannot be machined but Hoverdale can supply plates with countersunk holes cut to your specific requirements.
