Hoverdale's P600 is a high hardness steel. It is a fully quenched and mildly
tempered steel, with a Brinell hardness of 520-560. This provides excellent wear resistance and sliding abrasion. P600 will not present any installation problems. It can be cut with oxy-acetylene and had good weldability- no special techniques are required to obtain ductile welds. P600 cannot be
machined, however, Hoverdale can supply plates with countersunk holes cut to your specific requirements.
By combining high hardness, wear resistance and high strength, P600 has proved
itself a highly successful material in really tough situations. P600 is used in chutes, hoppers, bunker transfer points and crushers. Because of its ability to
withstand heavy impact without deforming, Hoverdale P600 is ideal for use in a variety of applications. Compare initial cost, downtime due to maintenance or replacement, and length
