Our Scotland team recently supplied and fitted 11m of 1200mm wide 4-ply belt on an 80-tonne silo conveyor.
The belt was installed on site and joined using 190VP mechanical clips, providing a quick, reliable joint and allowing the conveyor to be returned to service without delay.
Once fitted, the belt was run and checked to make sure everything was tracking correctly and operating as it should before handing the conveyor back.
Another solid job from the Scotland team.

International Women’s Day
This Sunday is International Women’s Day, which is a good moment to recognise the contribution women make across every industry.
Engineering and heavy industries have traditionally been male-dominated sectors, but that has been changing over the years and the industry is better for it.
At Hoverdale we have a number of women supporting the business across different areas, and the company simply wouldn’t run as well without them. Like any good operation, it takes a strong team with different skills and perspectives to keep things moving.
It’s also been great to see younger people showing an interest in engineering. We recently had some students join us for work experience, giving them a chance to see first-hand what an engineering business actually looks like day to day.
Encouraging the next generation into engineering both men and women is important for the future of the industry.
