Head Drum Replacement

Our team recently replaced a set of conveyor head drums with rubber lagged drums to restore proper traction and drive performance on the system.

Rubber lagging on the head drum improves grip between the drum and the belt, helping prevent slip under load and keeping the conveyor running consistently.

The new drums were installed and the conveyor run to make sure everything was tracking correctly and operating as it should before handing the system back.

If you require conveyor maintenance, belt work, or component replacement, get in touch with the Hoverdale team to discuss your requirements.

Finlay 883 – Conveyor Belt Installation

Work carried out recently on a Finlay 883 mobile machine, where the team installed two 800mm chevron side conveyor belts along with one 1200mm chevron discharge conveyor belt.

Once fitted, the belts were tensioned and tracked correctly to ensure smooth running across all conveyors. All guards were then refitted before the machine was handed back.

Chevron belts are essential on machines like the 883, helping maintain material control on inclined conveyors and preventing rollback during operation.

Another tidy job completed and the machine back ready for work.
