Hoverdale expanding the wear-protection offering.

We’re expanding our wear-protection offering.

Hoverdale is now supplying Chromium Carbide Plates & Fabrications for high-wear recycling and materials-handling applications.

Chromium carbide wear solutions are proven to outlast standard carbon steel by up to 5×, significantly reducing maintenance intervals, downtime and total lifecycle cost in demanding environments.

Why Ultraclad® Chromium Carbide?

  • Exceptional resistance to abrasion and impact
  • Designed for harsh recycling and bulk-handling conditions
  • Compliant with industry safety standards
  • Longer service life = fewer shutdowns and replacements
  • Manufactured with sustainability in mind

Available solutions include:

  • Chromium Carbide Plates for high-wear zones
  • Wear-resistant liners to protect critical equipment
  • Bespoke fabrications tailored to specific plant layouts and wear patterns

These products are particularly well-suited to recycling plants where abrasion, impact and corrosive materials accelerate wear on chutes, hoppers, conveyors and processing equipment.

As with all Hoverdale services, we can support from product selection through to fabrication and application, helping operators extend equipment life and improve operational reliability.

Most chute and hopper problems start with poor fit-up.

Precision-Engineered Chutes & Hoppers — Built Right First Time

Accuracy isn’t optional when it comes to chutes, hoppers and material-handling assemblies — it’s what keeps plants running efficiently.

At Hoverdale, we use 3D laser scanning and reverse-engineering technology to capture exact site geometry, allowing us to design and manufacture components that fit right first time.

Scan → CAD → Fabrication

High-resolution laser scans feed directly into our CAD systems, then into in-house laser cutting and CNC press braking, delivering:
• Perfect on-site fit-up
• Reduced installation time
• Minimal operational disruption

Lining solutions for demanding applications,
Designed for waste, aggregates, glass, construction & demolition (C&D) and IBA, using wear-resistant steels, polymers, ceramics and hybrid systems.

Engineered for your plant,
Bespoke solutions built around real site conditions — not off-the-shelf compromises.

Why Recycling conveyors fail

Recycling conveyors don’t fail because of bad maintenance. They fail because the wrong belt was specified. Recycling plants punish conveyor
