In high-impact, abrasive environments, standard plate doesn’t last.
You see it all the time:
- Chutes wearing through
- Liners failing prematurely
- Constant patch repairs
This is where chromium carbide overlay plate comes into its own.
We supply ULTRACLAD, designed for applications where both abrasion and impact resistance matter.
Key factors that actually make the difference on site:
- Dense chromium carbide structure (not just surface hardness)
- Controlled overlay thickness depending on application
- Base plate options to suit fabrication and install
Typical specs:
- Plates up to 4000mm x 2000mm
- Thickness range: 5mm – 48mm
- Hardness: ~60–63 HRC
This isn’t about “harder is better” — it’s about getting the right balance between wear resistance and durability.
If you’re replacing liners too often, it’s usually a material issue — not just wear.

Belt supply, installation, and cold vulcanising completed.
Our team recently carried out the supply, fit, and cold vulcanised installation of:
- 1 × 15m – 2040mm wide, 3-ply conveyor belt
• 1 × 28m – 1400mm wide, 4-ply conveyor belt
Both belts were installed and joined on site using cold vulcanising methods, ensuring a strong, reliable splice with minimal downtime to the customer’s operation.
Correct belt specification and installation are critical — not just for immediate performance, but for long-term reliability, tracking, and wear life across the system.
All work was completed efficiently and safely, with the system returned to operation without issue.
Customer pleased with the result.
